Dr. Elizabeth Wolpern is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in health psychology, lifestyle medicine, and integrated behavioral health. After more than a decade in corporate management roles in the South Bay Area, Dr. Wolpern returned to the field of psychology to embark on a second career. She attended Loma Linda University, earning a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Health Psychology. Dr. Wolpern completed an APA-accredited internship in Clinical Psychology and a postdoctoral fellowship in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. With a passion for whole-person care, wellness, and lifelong learning, she became certified in lifestyle medicine through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

Before joining CBHC, Dr. Wolpern served as core teaching faculty and assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Loma Linda University Health. She developed and facilitated the behavioral medicine curriculum, trained Family Medicine residents in behavioral health, and provided clinical supervision of doctoral psychology students. She also maintained a clinical practice in integrated behavioral health, seeing patients referred by their primary and specialty care providers. 

Dr. Wolpern’s interests include examining the biological, psychological, and social factors that influence health and illness. She works with patients holistically to address the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) and promote wellness. Dr. Wolpern provides evidence-based treatments to address various concerns, including insomnia, stress, chronic pain, life transitions, health conditions, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, burnout, and health behavior and lifestyle change (e.g., weight loss, smoking cessation, exercise, substance use, medication and treatment adherence, etc.).
