Dr. April May is a clinical neuropsychologist with extensive training and experience in the assessment of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. She earned her doctoral degree from the San Diego State University/UC San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship at VA Puget Sound – Seattle and advanced fellowship training in neuropsychology at VA Palo Alto/Stanford University.

Dr. May has broad expertise in neuropsychological evaluation across the lifespan and specializes in the assessment of cognitive disorders in older adults. She has extensive experience evaluating individuals with memory concerns, neurodegenerative conditions (such as Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias), stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and a range of other neurological, medical, and psychiatric conditions.

Her clinical approach is rooted in compassion and collaboration—she values truly listening to patients and their families to understand their concerns and provide thoughtful, individualized recommendations that can guide care, support functioning, and improve quality of life.
